Dr Jean-Pierre Abastado

Jean-Pierre Abastado graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in 1978 and obtained his PhD in biological sciences from the University of Paris VI in 1986. From 1979 to 1998, he held several positions at the Pasteur Institute (Paris, France) and NIH (in Bethesda, US).

From 1990 to 1998, he managed a group of eight people in the unit of Professor Philippe Kourilsky, specializing in molecular biology and fundamental immunology. Between 1994 and 1998 he was appointed on several occasions as an independent expert from the Pasteur Institute, Pasteur-Mérieux Sérums et Vaccins and INSERM. From 2013 to 2017, he was Head of Oncology at SERVIER (France).

He is the author of more than 80 scientific publications and several patent applications in France and the US.
