Jean-Pierre Fonta

Jean-Pierre Fonta has more than 30 years of international experience in multiple operational and strategic leadership positions within several leading international Biotech companies.

Before founding Auctris Life Sciences, Jean-Pierre held several leadership positions within Pasteur Mérieux Sérums & Vaccins, Serono and then Merck Serono.

He demonstrated leadership through different Vice-President positions for different functions including:

• Head of Manufacturing and Product Development
• Head of Corporate Quality Assurance
• Head of Global Product Development and Portfolio Development
• Head of Portfolio Management, Global Business Intelligence & Innovation.

Jean-Pierre founded Auctris Life Sciences in 2012 to provide Strategic and Operational hands-on support to Pharma and Biotech companies facing challenges in their Development and Operations critical for the development of their business.

He co-founded in 2020 the Microbiome for Health Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation with an unique and innovative microbiome metabolic Platform and Database, focused to identify microbiome functional metabolic markers associated with specific diseases and use them to develop diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for patients.

He lectures courses on: Therapeutic Innovations at the Executive MBA HEC Lausanne since 2014; Clinical Development at MAS Unige Geneva and Life Science Product Management at CAS UNIL Lausanne.

He graduated as an engineer from Centrale Lille (France) and completed his biotechnology education with a MS and a PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo (USA) and is Business education with a MBA from Babson College (USA) followed with business trainings from IMD (Switzerland) and INSEAD (France).
